Plain Dutch Weave Wire Mesh or Wire Filters are woven in the same way as plain weave mesh. The exception to ordinary Dutch woven wire mesh is that the warp is heavier than the weft. The Dutch woven wire mesh is produced by using a coarse mesh (mesh, woven wire mesh, wire mesh basket) in the warp yarn and a fine mesh having a relatively small wire in the filler. The shape and location of the opening contributes to particle retention and increases filter cake formation.
